I wanted to take a video of Seanelle’s program too, but my brand new batteries apparently were not very good. (Before I had taken the first picture, I saw the low battery icon. So much for trying to buy the ones on sale to save a few dollars.)
The kids received their class pictures a couple of weeks ago, and I have tucked them away to a safe place. I know that in the years to come they will be asking about those pictures. But for right now, I get to look at all the kids that I have watched grow over this last year.
I’m certain that all the older kids are very thankful that I wasn’t able to know all their classmates as well as I know Seanelle’s and GaryTodd’s. But I am having a more difficult time knowing that I won’t be seeing these children every day. There’s just nothing like a Kindergartner saying, “He’s really old. He’s in FIRST GRADE!”
And I will miss the 20 hugs I used to get every morning from all the kids. (Some from kids I didn’t even know, but they saw the other kids give me a hug and thought they should too!)
I hope you enjoy the videos that I have shared with you. My kids are awesome. (And of course, my favorite in their classes!) I wish I could share more pictures of the older ones to share with you, but I really don’t get much of a chance to see them anymore.
Gabriel just came back into town to spend the summer with us, but we haven’t had much of a chance to get any pictures of him either. Now that he is almost 16, he has a pretty busy schedule with catching up with all his friends. Hopefully we will be able to get pictures of him soon.
Talk to all of you soon!
